FAQ

Yoga

How often should I practice in a week?

If possible, practicing yoga every day is encouraged. Every day presents an opportunity to connect with your body, listen to your breath, and find peace in the present moment. However, if a daily practice doesn't align with your lifestyle, don't worry! You can always adapt it to what works best for you. I have students who practice twice or three times a week, and that's absolutely fine. Personally, I recommend practicing at least twice a week to experience the benefits. Find a frequency that suits you and let your yoga journey unfold with joy and flexibility.

Are your classes suitable for beginners?

Of course! My classes are designed with beginners in mind. I carefully plan each session based on the level and abilities of my students. I always provide different variations and modifications specifically tailored for beginners. These variations will help you ease into the practice and build a solid foundation. Remember, we all start as beginners, and the beauty of yoga is that it's a journey of continuous growth and progress. Today, you can begin your yoga journey, and in just six months, you'll be amazed at how far you've come. That's the magic of practice!

What equipment should I have for your classes?

In most cases, having a yoga mat is more than sufficient. (If you need guidance on choosing the right mat, feel free to reach out to me.) However, if you don't have a mat, don't worry! What's important is finding a relatively soft space that won't strain your knees or back during the practice. Occasionally, we might use one or two yoga blocks to support and modify certain poses based on our individual needs. If you don't have blocks, no problem! I actually used thick books as a substitute for blocks for over 5 years. The choice is completely up to you!

I am neither flexible nor active. Can I still do yoga?

Absolutely you can! The practice of yoga asanas involves gentle movements that respect your body's limits. It's all about embracing well-being, so there's no need to rush. We won't push you to the point of being out of breath. And speaking of flexibility, it's a common concern that often comes up. But guess what? You don't have to be flexible to start practicing yoga! I remember when I began, even a simple forward fold was a challenge. But trust me, flexibility gradually improves with consistent practice over time. So, why wait? Start your yoga journey today! Can yoga help me lose weight?

It's a possibility, but it really depends on various factors. However, before addressing this question, I want to emphasize that yoga is not for weight loss. Through our asana practice, which we do together, you may find yourself becoming more active in your daily life, which can contribute to weight management. However, weight loss is never the primary goal of our practice. If you're specifically looking to lose weight, I recommend considering a combination of yoga and another form of exercise such as Pilates. This blend can provide a well-rounded approach to fitness and overall well-being.

Payment

How should I make a payment?

Payments are made prior to each class through bank transfer. Currently, I do not offer a direct payment option through the website. If you have any inquiries or questions regarding payments, please feel free to contact me directly. I'll be happy to discuss the details with you in more depth.

What happens if I miss a class?

For 1-1 classes, if you inform me in advance, we can reschedule the class to fit your schedule. However, for group classes, please note that I do not offer a makeup class for individuals who are unable to attend.

Classes

Do you offer meditation classes?

In all of my classes, I make sure to include meditation as a part of the practice. However, if you have a preference for attending only a meditation class, that's absolutely possible too! I offer mindfulness meditation sessions that typically last up to an hour. Please note that these classes are not listed under the regular classes section as they are available on-demand. If you're interested in joining me for a peaceful and rejuvenating meditation session, please feel free to reach out to me directly.

What types of yoga classes do you offer?

Well, I've got a delightful mix for you! I offer power yoga, yin yoga, vinyasa yoga classes, or even a combination of two or all three styles. It truly depends on the preferences and needs of each individual or group. We may start with a specific style, but as we journey together and as you grow in your practice, the classes evolve organically. The best part? We don't have to limit ourselves to just one type! We have the freedom to explore and experience the wonderful benefits of all these yoga styles. For more detail, please visit the Classes page.

Do you teach advanced poses such as headstand?

Yes, indeed! I love creating yoga flows that incorporate exciting peak poses, like headstand. However, let me emphasize that the pose itself is never the ultimate goal in our practice. It's not about achieving the pose for the sake of it. It's all about the journey and the process of learning and growing. Mastering these flows and poses takes time, so please be patient with yourself. Remember, with consistent practice, dedication, and a sprinkle of discipline, you'll gradually unlock the potential within you.

How do I know if I am doing the poses right?

First and foremost, let's remember that there's no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to yoga poses. Each person's expression of a pose can vary, and that's perfectly normal. Initially, you might find it challenging to understand which way is the correct way for your body. But don't worry! Throughout the entire session, I'll be there to guide and support you. I will provide clear instructions and closely observe your movements. I'll help you activate the specific muscle groups, guide you on how to position your feet and hands, and even assist with bone rotations. Rest assured, with time and practice, you will naturally and gracefully flow through the poses, adapting them to suit your unique body.

Is it possible for me to create a group with my friends and join your online yoga classes

Certainly! Gather your friends together, create the group, and then just let me know. We can arrange the day and time together. It is beautiful and inspiring to flow with friends!
